ECG Workshop on Applications Involving
Geometric Algorithms with Curved Objects

September 24 - 26, 2003, Saarbrücken, Germany

The Workshop

This workshop is intended to raise up interactions with potential users of our results. We have invited specialists from application fields such as CAD/CAM, robotics, meshing, and molecular modeling. The workshop consists of tutorials from the invited specialists and short presentations of workshop participants.

The workshop is organized as part of the ECG project, Effective Computational Geometry for Curves and Surfaces, an EU funded project of several computational geometry groups in Europe and Israel. It is open for non-ECG participants.

Location

The workshop will take place at the Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik, Saarbrücken, Germany, on September 24-26, 2003. Please see here for directions. The recommended airport is Frankfurt with good train connections to Saarbrücken. Alternative airports are Luxembourg and Strassbourg with possible but not so good train connections. Saarbrücken has also its own airport but with few flight connections only.

Registration

The registration fee is 90 Euros. It covers three lunches, the workshop dinner, and the coffee breaks. Participants will be expected to pay themselves for lodging and travel.Registration is available via MPI´s secure
